I am fortunate to have a piece in this exhibition: Watershed Tapestry, seen below. I’m in the company of some of the most well-known book artists of our time, in a unique gallery devoted to book and text-based arts.
The show runs November 15, 2013 to December 28, 2013
23 SANDY GALLERY • 623 NE 23RD AVE • PORTLAND, OREGON
503-927-4409
From the 23 Sandy site:
“23 Sandy Gallery is pleased to present EcoEditions, an international juried exhibition of contemporary artist books focusing on the environment. EcoEditions seeks to confirm that books can save the world. Artist books raise consciousness, create awareness and change thinking. We invited book artists to use their powers as stewards of the earth to report on the state of our environment, ecology, sustainability, pollution, climate, recycling and our planet in general.”
This exhibition was juried by Cara List, the Art and Art History Librarian at the University of Oregon Architecture and Allied Arts Library.
Check back in late December, as three artists will receive Best of Show awards, and there will be one library purchase award donated to the Artists’ Book Collection at the University of Oregon Architecture and Allied Arts Library.
In the meantime, here’s a link to the show’s online catalog.
